Woodworking Shop Tech LA Woodshop Los Angeles, CA Job Details Part-time From $25 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Employee discount Flexible schedule Qualifications School experience Student supervision Teamwork Student mentoring Classroom Teaching Woodworking Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Woodworking shop tech to oversee the operations of a busy woodshop and woodworking school. Schedule will vary depending on shop needs but expect 15-25 hours of work per week. Responsibilities Maintaining power tools, hand tools and other mechanical equipment in good working order. Maintaining cleanliness throughout the shop by implementing rotating cleaning and dust-removal protocols for the various machines and work areas Tracking inventory and ordering for shop consumables (sandpaper discs, rags, etc) and lumber/materials for classes Creating a safe workspace for all residents and students by enforcing safety protocols and proper tool handling procedures Accurately setting up tools/machines to accomplish specific tasks within the school's structured curriculum Skills Strong background in woodworking techniques, tools, and safety standards across multiple woodworking disciplines Strong working knowledge of mechanical maintenance best practices for a wide variety of power tools and other woodworking tools Professional experience in a woodshop or woodworking school is a plus Proactive problem solver with a strong attention to detail
Pay:
