The Opportunity We're seeking an experienced Inside Diameter/Outside Diameter Grinder to join our growing manufacturing team. This role offers the chance to: Perform precision ID/OD grinding on mold components, inserts, and assemblies Collaborate with toolmakers and engineers to ensure accuracy and manufacturability Lead and mentor the next generation of American tool makers. Core Responsibilities Set up and operate ID/OD grinding machines to grind precision mold components Hold tight tolerances within ±.0002" on a variety of tool steels and alloys Interpret and work from technical drawings and specifications Inspect parts using micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring tools Support continuous improvement in grinding processes and shop efficiency The Ideal Candidate Has 5+ years of experience in ID/OD grinding (tooling, mold, or precision machining industry preferred) Strong knowledge of grinding machines, wheels, and setups for various materials Ability to read, interpret, and execute from blueprints and GD&T Proficiency with precision measuring equipment (micrometers, bore gauges, indicators, etc.) High attention to detail and craftsmanship Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills Compensation & Benefits Competitive base pay: $30 - $40/hour based on experience
