OD/ID Grinder - Aerospace Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities Set up and operate Outer Diameter (OD) and Inner Diameter (ID) grinding machines to achieve precise specifications Work with various materials, including tool steel and heat-treated alloys. Read and interpret complex blueprints, specifications, and job orders. Utilize precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges, to perform in-process quality checks and ensure parts meet strict quality standards. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues as necessary. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Qualifications We're Looking For Minimum 3+ years of experience setting up and operating OD/ID grinders (e.g., Landis, Studer, Tschudin, Cincinnati, etc.). Proven ability to hold tight tolerances and achieve a specified surface finish. Strong understanding of conventional grinding techniques, wheel selection, and dressing. Excellent blueprint reading skills, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). High school diploma or equivalent (technical/trade school certification is a plus).
