Job Description
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
Develop, design, and build tooling and fixtures for the manufacturing process.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and build fixtures for robot welders, press brake, forming, machining, using Solid Works, etc.
- Inspect drawings from other designers for their tooling
- Building machine and tooling components as needed to keep equipment running
- Inspect the parts created from tooling process to increase the quality and ensure there are not errors
- Assist with training for tooling process (loading and unloading procedures)
- Ability to troubleshoot issues with fixtures and correct the issue
- Ability to assemble items and run various power/hand tools.
- Collaborates with Engineers to improve all aspects of manufacturing to promote safety, improve quality, and reduce cost.
- Ability to communicate and interact with co-workers on the tooling process to increase quality and production
- Capable of working independently on projects of limited complexity, or as part of a multidisciplinary team for projects of greater complexity.
