Minimum Skills:
Background in injection molding, preferably as a process technician or a set up technician Ability to read, write, and communicate in English Mechanical aptitude - ability to learn essential functions of position and all associate equipment, processes, procedures, and instruction Ability to complete in-house OSHA training in LOTO, HAZCOM, PPE and Emergency measures Reliable car and valid driver's license Acute attention to detail Takes pride in work and company Ability to become proficient in use of measuring equipment and scales
Minimum Physical Requirements:
20/20 vision (with or without correction) Ability to use hands 100% of the work day Ability to stand and walk 100% of the work day Ability to hear and speak 100% of the work day Ability to handle 50 pounds when necessary Ability to work in shop environment - continual exposure to potentially hazardous machines and equipment, loud noises, fumes, dust, mist, oils, and coolant
Description of Duties:
Interact with Q.A. on correcting defects in parts. Delegate mold setups, verify correctly completed. Startup and troubleshoot jobs as required. Training of department personnel. Coordinate machine repairs with Maintenance Department. Coordinate tool repairs with Engineering Department. Able to compare parts produced to blueprints and retains. Interact with Engineering on tool samplings. Complete required documentation. Monitor job performance of setup person, material handler, and operators. Make recommendations to improve production efficiency. Monitor process parameters to verify maximum efficiency during runs. Communicate daily issues with management. Monitor job efficiencies to standards. Other duties as assigned.
Job Tasks:
Adjust process parameters to improve parts per Q.A. and MRB direction Monitor personnel and create job assignments Fill in for missing personnel as needed. Create N.R. as needed. Verify part integrity to print spec. Start-up difficult jobs. Monitor partial aisle for current jobs. Complete documentation on changeovers.
