If you possess a keen eye for close tolerances, take pride in high-precision craft, and thrive in a well-equipped, detail-oriented shop environment, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Set up, adjust, and operate O.D. (Outer Diameter), I.D. (Inner Diameter), and Jig Grinders to produce precision parts and custom tooling. Perform complex setups and grinding operations to exacting engineering prints, maintaining tolerances as tight as +/- .0002". Select appropriate grinding wheels, dress wheels, and determine optimal spindle speeds, feeds, and coolant flows for varied tool steels and metals. Inspect finished components using precision measuring equipment (micrometers, bore gages, optical comparators, and height gages). Maintain clean equipment, troubleshoot setup variations, and ensure continuous quality control throughout production runs.Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
2 to 5 years of hands-on experience operating O.D., I.D., or Jig Grinders in a precision machining or tool & die environment.Blueprint Reading:
Ability to interpret complex GD&T, engineering drawings, and strict specifications independently.Measurement Proficiency:
Mastery of precision hand tools and optical measuring equipment.Problem-Solving:
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to microscopic details.
