The 3rd shift follows a modified schedule of four 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday. Job Summary:
The Keensert Installation Technician is responsible for installing threaded inserts (Keenserts) into metal components to reinforce threads. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to follow technical specifications to ensure strong, reliable installations.Supervisory Responsibilities:
None Duties/Responsibilities:
Drill, tap, and install Keenserts in accordance with engineering specifications Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions Operate hand tools, power tools, and insert installation equipment Inspect completed work for proper fit, alignment, and thread quality Repair stripped or damaged threads using approved methods Maintain quality standards and ensure accuracy in all installations Follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE Keep work area clean and organized Document completed tasks and report issues or defects Performs other duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:
Experience in mechanical assembly, machining, or threaded insert installation preferred Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications Familiarity with drills, taps, torque tools, and precision measuring tools Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship Basic math and measurement skills Ability to work independently and in a team environmentEducation and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. 2 + years of related experience preferred.Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of walking or standing. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. Must wear required PPE including safety glasses.
