Job Description
Builds, repairs, modifies, and maintains fixtures, jigs, tooling, workstations, and manufacturing equipment while supporting production uptime and process improvements. Job Requirements High school diploma or GED. Tool & Die Maker certification or equivalent hands-on experience. Ability to safely operate tool room equipment and machinery. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Experience using precision measuring instruments. Experience troubleshooting mechanical and tooling issues on production equipment. Basic computer skills. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment. Experience performing tooling repairs, changeovers, and preventive maintenance. Preferred Skills CNC machining experience. Experience operating CNC milling machines. Lathe experience. Surface grinding experience. Experience with drill presses, band saws, and press brakes. Injection molding experience. Plastic mold experience. Metal stamping equipment experience. Prototype fabrication experience. Welding experience. Pneumatic assembly experience. Mechanical assembly experience. Automated manufacturing equipment experience. Lean Manufacturing experience. 5S experience. Job Responsibilities Build, modify, and repair fixtures, jigs, workstations, tooling, and assembly equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and tooling issues affecting production equipment. Read and apply blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Operate CNC milling machines, lathes, surface grinders, drill presses, band saws, press brakes, and other tool room equipment. Use calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, depth gauges, thread gauges, and other precision measuring instruments. Assist with installation and setup of new or revised manufacturing equipment and processes. Perform tooling changeovers, repairs, and preventive maintenance. Coordinate heat treating and outside tooling services with applicable vendors. Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain tool room work areas using 5S principles. Document tooling activities and maintenance work. Maintain inventory of tool room supplies and tooling materials. Support production, engineering, and maintenance activities related to manufacturing equipment and tooling. Identify tooling or equipment improvements that reduce production downtime. Follow applicable manufacturing safety procedures and maintain clean work areas.
Pay:
