Job Description:
Tool Room Repair-1st Shift Comac Position overview As a Tool Room Repair team member at Gibbs Die Casting Corporation (COMAC), you'll help keep production running by building, repairing, and maintaining tooling, fixtures, and supporting equipment. You'll work closely with Maintenance and production teams to complete tool room work in a timely manner while meeting customer, safety, quality, and environmental standards. What you'll do
  • Support jig and fixture design and build for new and current production.
  • Repair and maintain production fixtures.
  • Support plant maintenance needs with machinist repairs as needed.
  • Perform machine assembly and alignment for production equipment.
  • Review and complete work orders based on assigned priorities.
  • Support repair and verification of gages and poka-yoke systems.
  • Evaluate used tooling for replacement or reconditioning.
  • Support manufacturing automation projects (end-of-arm tooling/robotics, in-bounds/out-bounds, and processing equipment).
  • Support group leaders and assist with continuous improvement projects to meet plant goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
What we're looking for To succeed in this role, you should meet the qualifications below.
Education:
High school diploma or GED.
Training:
Minimum 3 years of tool and die apprenticeship.
Experience:
At least 6 months of experience in a related field.
Licensing/Certification:
Willingness to obtain a Gibbs-issued Powered Industrial Equipment License (Fork Truck, Powered Pallet Jack, and Scissors Lift).
Computer skills:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; CAD experience preferred. Applicants must be authorized to work for an employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
