About the Role As a Medical Device Finishing Technician, you will play a vital role in transforming precision-machined components into high-quality, finished products. You will work within a collaborative team environment to ensure every piece meets rigorous industry standards, directly impacting the quality of care provided to patients. Responsibilities Execute essential finishing processes including deburring, grinding, polishing, bead blasting, and blending to achieve precise product specifications. Utilize advanced optical and mechanical tools, such as microscopes and micrometers, to perform detailed quality inspections. Operate specialized manufacturing equipment including electro-polishers, heat treat systems, and laser marking or welding units. Maintain accurate production documentation, including labor tracking and barcode scanning, to ensure full regulatory compliance. Perform routine equipment maintenance and uphold a clean, organized workspace to support safety and operational efficiency. Interpret complex blueprints to guide the assembly and finishing of medical components. Package finished goods and apply product identification labels according to established protocols. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Basic computer literacy and proficiency with math for documentation and inspection tasks. Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs. Strong attention to detail with legible handwriting. Preferred Skills Up to 6 months of experience in a medical device or regulated manufacturing environment. Proven ability to achieve and maintain certified operator status. Familiarity with FDA, QSR, or similar quality management standards. Experience with precision measurement tools like optical comparators or verniers.
