Tool Die Maker - Specialized Machinist International Beam Welding West Springfield, MA Job Details Part-time | Full-time From $32 an hour 22 hours ago Benefits Paid jury duty Health insurance 401(k) Paid time off 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications Specialized industrial tools GD&T High school diploma or GED Milling machines Mechanical knowledge Full Job Description IBW is seeking individuals with the aptitude and desire to work as a Tool & Die Maker (Specialized Machinist). You will also assist with our cleaning & assembly process, as required. Minimal training provided - wanting experienced indiviuals only. Major Duties and Responsibilities Interpret blueprints to produce conforming parts Understand and use GD&T Use all measuring devices Use the needed machines in the tool and die makers department Develop & design new precision work-holding tools Produce precise tooling, special guiding and holding fixtures Repair worn or damaged tools, gauges, jigs, and fixtures Foreign object identification and removal Able to do machine set-ups Able to run manual machines (bridgeports & lathes) Understand the mounting of fixtures and products Able to perform sampling techniques Education High school diploma or equivalent 20+ years of experience in this field, or something similar Skills and Qualifications Knowledgeable in machining operations, mathematics, and blueprint reading Ability to understand machining properties, processes, and techniques Ability to work effectively with limited supervision Effective communication and interpersonal skills Physical Requirements Ability to bend forward to knee level Ability to pass vision exam (with or without corrective lenses) Ability to repeatedly lift up to 30 pounds and carry approx. 15 ft Ability to repeatedly lift up to 30 pounds to chest height and place in fixturing with arms extended.
