Tool and Die Maker

Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary Under the direction of a Tooling Supervisor, the Tool and Die Maker is responsible for repairing dies and making adjustments as needed to run dies in accordance with the customers' standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Tool and Die Maker must be able to troubleshoot conditions in a production setting Perform die set operations Perform preventative maintenance on metal stamping dies Perform quality checks Perform other duties as required Tool and Die Maker must complete all required and applicable training required by Adient and its customers.
Qualifications Required:
High School diploma or equivalent (GED) Minimum 1-2 years of experience working in a sheet metal stamping facility or similar experience Minimum 1-2 years of experience with large transfer and progressive dies Able to lift 40 lbs. frequently depending upon rework Standing 8 or more hours, walking to assist in seat build, rework, etc. Be able to work 2nd shift
Preferred:
Journeyman Tool and Die Card from the
Department of Labor Rate of Pay:
$37.54 - $39.14 per hour
