Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Moldmaker to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for designing, fabricating, and maintaining precision molds used in plastic and rubber injection molding and other manufacturing processes. Your expertise will ensure the production of high-quality components, supporting our commitment to excellence and innovation. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about craftsmanship, technical precision, and manufacturing excellence. Duties Design, build, modify and repair plastic and rubber molds. Perform test runs to ensure parts meet specifications. File, grind, shim and adjust parts to properly fit them together. Perform conventional machining, spotting and bench work. Wire hot manifold systems. Train and advise apprentices'. Inspect finished molds. Experience Excellent mathematical skills and mechanical aptitude. Utilize equipment including lathe, mill, grinder, bridgeport, etc. Skills in holding of tight tolerance specifications. Knowledge of complex molds. Follow work instructions, safety guidelines and company policies. Interpret part drawings. Maintain quality standards of the company and customers. Must provide own tools. Must be self-motivated and able to lead. Strong organization and prioritization skills. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong teamwork ethic with effective communication skills to coordinate with staff.
Pay:
$23.00 - $25.00 per hour
