We are seeking a Tool & Die maker with a patient, friendly, and positive attitude for our Grand Rapids facility. Qualified candidates would possess the following education, skills, and abilities: Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on injection molds and stamping dies according to established maintenance schedules. Disassemble, inspect, clean, repair, and reassemble molds following maintenance standards. Diagnose tooling issues including flash, short shots, dimensional variation, sticking parts, venting problems, and premature wear. Polish molding surfaces and restore mold finish as required. Verify mold functionality before releasing tools back to production. Document all maintenance activities in the tooling maintenance system. Analyze root causes of mold failures and recurring production issues. Recommend tooling improvements to increase mold life and production efficiency. Perform precision fitting, grinding, milling, turning, drilling, and EDM touch-up work when necessary. Assist Engineering with mold modifications, engineering changes, and process improvements. Support new mold tryouts and production launches.
