This Toolmaker opportunity in Warren, Michigan offers the chance to build and fit large tooling assemblies using engineering drawings, GD&T, and manual shop equipment. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Toolmaker position include: 7+ years of manufacturing shop experience assembling, fitting, and building precision tooling/fixtures. Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and engineering drawings. Working knowledge of GD&T, tolerances, and fit-up inspection. Experience assembling, fitting, inspecting, and finishing large, complex tooling assemblies. Ability to set up and operate manual machines such as lathes, grinders, and Bridgeport-style mills. Use measurement tools to verify alignment, dimensions, contours, and tolerance compliance. Coordinate tooling work with machining, welding, engineering, quality, and other manufacturing departments. Troubleshoot misalignment and fit-up issues, document nonconformities, and maintain accurate records.

Salary:

$25-33/hour, commensurate with experience.
