2nd Shift | M-Thur 3:30PM-2AM | Occasional Friday overtime as needed.
Pay:
$35 to $40 per hour | Based on experience and qualifications
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Toolmaker for a precision manufacturing facility in Port Huron, MI. This position supports the manufacture, maintenance, repair, and improvement of precision tooling used in a high quality manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong toolroom experience, excellent mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work with precision tooling and tight tolerances. RESPONSIBILITIESBuild, repair, maintain, and modify precision toolingTroubleshoot tooling problems and perform necessary repairs and adjustmentsManufacture and fit tooling components to required specifications Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specificationsSet up and operate toolroom equipment to manufacture and repair tooling componentsUse precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerancesInspect tooling components for wear, damage, and dimensional accuracyPerform maintenance and repair of tooling to support production requirementsDiagnose tooling issues and determine appropriate corrective actionsWork closely with production and engineering teams to resolve tooling related issuesMaintain accurate and organized tooling and work areasFollow established safety and quality procedures
QUALIFICATIONS
No less than 10 Years previous professional experience as a Toolmaker, Tool and Die Maker, Mold Maker, or similar precision tooling positionStrong knowledge of toolmaking, machining, fitting, and precision manufacturing practicesAbility to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawingsExperience working with tight tolerances and precision componentsProficiency with precision measuring instrumentsStrong troubleshooting and problem solving skillsAbility to independently complete tooling repairs and modificationsStrong attention to quality and dimensional accuracyINDQT
