Job Description

About the Role As a Precision Tooling Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of our manufacturing operations by designing, building, and maintaining complex tooling systems. Your expertise in precision machining and die maintenance will directly impact our production quality and output consistency. Responsibilities Interpret complex engineering blueprints to fabricate, modify, and repair high-precision tooling components. Operate and maintain tool room machinery, including lathes, mills, and grinders, to achieve exact specifications. Proactively troubleshoot and refine jigs, fixtures, and dies to optimize production performance and minimize downtime. Perform critical maintenance tasks such as sharpening, welding, and heat treating to extend the lifecycle of production tools. Maintain rigorous safety standards, including strict adherence to lockout/tagout procedures and workspace organization. Document tool conditions and maintenance logs to ensure accurate data tracking and inventory management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical insights that enhance manufacturing capabilities and process reliability. Qualifications Required Skills Completion of a formal apprenticeship program or equivalent verifiable experience as a Tool & Die Maker. Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing dies, fixtures, and jigs in both bench and in-press environments. Advanced knowledge of precision measuring instruments and gauging tools. Proven ability to operate standard tool room equipment including lathes, mills, and grinding machinery. Strong commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and workplace safety protocols. Preferred Skills Experience with advanced CNC machining or programming. Background in high-volume automotive or industrial manufacturing environments. Familiarity with modern preventive maintenance software or digital tracking systems.
