Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Die Repair/ Die Setter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and maintaining dies used in stamping presses, operating Hilo's, and cranes, and ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of tooling, quality control, and materials handling, as well as proficiency in CAM programming and CAD software.
Key Responsibilities:
Repair dies according to specifications documented on die maintenance forms Assist in die tryout runs to validate performance and quality Support die modifications to meet production and quality requirements Manufacture die components such as sections and punches based on engineering drawings Operate tool room equipment including lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, and radial drills Use precision measuring tools to ensure accuracy and quality of work Apply shop math and basic Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment Adhere to Quality and Environmental Management Systems (QMS/EMS) standards
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required Minimum of 8 years of tool and die experience OR UAW Tool and Die certification Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Knowledge of IATF 16949 and
ISO 14001
standards Experience with precision measuring instruments and machining equipment
