Senior Press Technician

Job Description

Overview Tier 1 automotive stamping supplier is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Press Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will be using your expertise to train and monitor a team of die set operators. In addition, you will follow up on your team's progress, drive quality production standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative manufacturing projects in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence with significant grown on the horizon. Responsibilities This is a floor-based role, where you must have the ability to lead, as well as train and monitor a team of die set operators, and follow-up to achieve continuous improvement. Follow safety protocols diligently, adhering to all safety standards in production environments to prevent accidents and ensure a safe workspace for all team members. Collaborate on tasks and process improvements to enhance productivity and product quality. Follow good safety and housekeeping practices (5S). Knowledge of QMS/EMS. Assist in other areas of company operations as deemed necessary by management. Skills Extensive experience in stamping press equipment such as AIDA and Minster (100 T to 2,500 T). HMS Transfer Systems. Ability to optimize strokers per minute (Servo-Pendulum Mode) (Transfer). Press critical angles - pilot release, counterbalance, feed angles, die protection, straightener settings, steel/aluminum alignment, and material gauge less than 1mm to 5mm. Smartpack (Wintriss), Minster Die Protection, AIDA (Allen Bradley PLC). Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot die issues quickly and effectively. Communicate effectively with any department where follow-up is required (Tool Room, Press Room Set-Up, and Maintenance). Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints accurately while applying shop math for measurements and calculations (critical part characteristics). Familiarity with safety standards related to machine operation, metal fabrication, and manufacturing environments. Knowledge of OSHA and MIOSHA requirements as applied to the die set up and press operation. Competence in using hand tools, measuring devices, and forming machines with attention to detail for high-quality output.

Pay:
$80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
