Quanex is looking for a Die Cast Operator
  • Weekend Shift to join our team located in Owatonna, Minnesota. The hours are Friday
  • Sunday, 6:00am
  • 6:30pm.
In this role you are responsible for set up and operate department machines to perform secondary operations in zinc components. We Offer You! Impact Growth Potential Team-Oriented Environment What Success Looks Like:
Determine appropriate setup for product being manufactured. Assure sufficient coolant and lubricant is applied to machine. Determine tooling wear and the need for replacement. Determine when machine adjustments or repairs are required. Interact with other machine operators, Lead in department, Inspection personnel, Material Handlers and Tool and Die Maintenance personnel. May participate in small group activities such as task teams, safety meetings and other improvement efforts.
What You Bring:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be fluent in the English language, both written and spoken. Read shop orders and all associated documents, above average mechanical aptitude.
