The organization works with more than 100 medical device companies, ranging from innovative startups to global industry leaders, to develop and manufacture life-enhancing technologies. Job Responsibilities Inspect highly complex molds, dies, and other tooling for damage, wear, and overall condition. Troubleshoot complex tooling issues and identify appropriate solutions. Interpret blueprints, sketches, models, specifications, and technical descriptions to determine required materials, equipment, and machining processes. Calculate dimensions, plan layouts, and determine assembly methods and sequences of operations. Verify dimensions, alignments, clearances, and tolerances on new and existing tooling designs. Examine existing dies, tools, jigs, and fixtures and recommend design modifications to improve construction, function, and production performance. Work closely with engineering teams to address tooling issues and develop design improvements. Develop specifications for specialty tools based on general product or process requirements. Create sketches and layouts for tooling and specialty products. Set up and operate machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, and grinders. Machine precision tooling components and verify that finished parts meet required specifications. Troubleshoot mechanical functions of production machines and tooling. Repair, modify, maintain, and optimize production tooling as required. Apply strong machine shop practices and technical judgment when resolving complex tooling challenges. Communicate effectively with engineering, manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams. Maintain high standards for precision, quality, safety, and productivity. Qualifications Two-year technical school degree or certificate in Tool & Die Making, Precision Machining, or a related field preferred. Equivalent relevant toolmaking experience may be considered in place of formal education. Experience Minimum of 5 years of related experience as a Toolmaker. Experience working with complex molds, dies, tools, jigs, and fixtures. Hands-on experience setting up and operating lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other machine shop equipment.

Up to $42.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
