This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled trades professional who enjoys precision machining, troubleshooting, and building tooling that keeps production running at peak performance. What You'll Do As a Tool & Die Maker, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and building tooling used in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities include:
Build, maintain, and repair dies, jigs, fixtures, and precision tooling components Install, troubleshoot, and repair tooling used in progressive stamping operations Diagnose tooling issues and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurring failures Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and AutoCAD designs Operate manual mills, lathes, surface grinders, and CNC machining equipment Perform precision machining, fitting, and assembly work Utilize drill presses, die grinders, air tools, and other shop equipment Measure components using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve tooling reliability and production efficiency Maintain a safe and organized work environment Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications We're looking for candidates who possess: High school diploma or GED Ability to work any shift, including evenings and overnight schedules One of the following: Journeyman Tool & Die certification, or Completion of a four-year apprenticeship (8,000 hours), or Eight years of documented industrial Tool & Die or related skilled trades experience Experience setting up and operating Tool & Die equipment Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings Working knowledge of AutoCAD Experience with manual machining equipment including mills, lathes, and grinders Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Experience using precision measuring equipment Preferred Qualifications EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) experience Additional technical or vocational education CNC machining experience Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing operations Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Why You'll Love This Opportunity This is an opportunity to join a stable manufacturing organization that values skilled trades professionals and invests in employee development.
