Job Description Boyd Thermal by Eaton is seeking a Dip Braze Technician 2 in our Laconia, NH location.
Primary Function:
Prepare and execute the process of dip brazing parts for the Salt Bath Dip Process at a moderately highly technical skill level. This includes dipping complex assembly parts and performing safe and accurate dip times for assemblies, per customer specifications, using moderate to complex prints, newly created processes, or the provided process and tooling. Performs moderate to complex decision making in a highly safety oriented and process-controlled environment. Works with the Mfg Product/Process Engineers to create work instructions for the new processes that are created in their area under the direction of the Process/Product Engineer. This position requires significant skills that are learned during training and requires passing a technical test for a coupon for Dip Brazed parts to customer specifications. Assembly work may also be included in this position, both in and out of the Dip Braze area . Other manufacturing work out of this area may be assigned.
Essential Functions:
Perform accurate pre-dip, dip and after dip processes per customer print. Safety minded work behavior and ethics. Ability to work in a high heat area. Read and interpret moderate to complex blueprints. Visual alertness, hand dexterity, and attention to detail and quality are necessary. Perform complex moderate to complex math calculations. Perform first piece inspection on assigned jobs using visual or dimensional specifications using quality fixtures or measuring equipment. Perform accurate wanding and other record keeping tasks as required. Apply masking, subcomponents, pins and other assorted hardware per print using fixtures, tooling, hand and power tools. Work with Engineering on new assembly processes, troubleshooting and improving procedures. Create solutions, make suggestions to decrease prep, dip and assembly time while increasing quality and reducing or eliminating rework and scrap. Create work instructions for new products and processes under guidance of Product/Process Engineer . Use of various measurement equipment such as micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, digital height gauges, etc. Maintain a safe clean working environment complying with all safety procedures and regulations. Maintain open communications with team leads, supervisor and engineering. Perform all work tasks as required by your supervisor. Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 35lbs or more if on hoist. Ability to work in a Team environment.
Qualifications Basic qualifications:

Preferred:
