3:30pm to 11:30am Monday•Friday, OT may be required when needed. 3rdShift:
11:30pm to 7:30am Sunday•Thursday, OT may be required when needed.Job Summary:
Perform required duties to set up a minimum of one machine in the Grinding Department, to perform a limited variety of finish grinding or honing on ferrous, non-ferrous parts, working to close and critical tolerances and finishes.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work from drawings, process sheets, specifications, standard procedures, instructions. Finish grind such parts as balls, races, bodies, flange bushings, bushings, bearings, and rod end assemblies. Perform bearing releasing operations. Select speeds, feeds, and set tooling on machines. Monitor machines and make adjustments as necessary to ensure parts meet production standards. Change grinding wheels and diamond tool points when required. Run first piece to ensure standards are met and obtain department approval for production run. Maintain inspection department initial calibration of gauging using masters and gauging blocks. Sharpen tooling. Operate one or more machines simultaneously. Use precision measuring instruments, master gauges, gauging blocks, dressing, and hand tools. Move materials as necessary in the performance of duties. Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials and unusual conditions to supervision. Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition. Follow all safety and security practices. Perform other job related duties as required or as directed.Job Skills & Abilities:
Read and understand product blueprint/specification sheets from engineering department Read, reference and interpret written and verbal instructions; always following established standard procedures Maintain established production levels and quality standards Recognize and report any irregularities as to fits, defective parts, finishes, work techniques and/or quality of workmanship Maintain necessary records; work is subject to audited inspections If you are interested in this position or others available, please apply with an updated resume or call Matt Cram at 603-373-4122.Pay Details:
