Tool Designer Our manufacturing client is seeking a Tool Designer to join the team at their large, modern facility in Lebanon, NH. This full-time, direct-hire role offers comprehensive benefits and true work/life balance. Responsibilities of the Tool Designer
  • Design and develop stamping dies and tooling using CAD software
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that tooling meets performance, quality, and safety standards
  • Create detailed 2D and 3D models, BOMs, and technical documentation
  • Participate in design reviews, FMEA sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis for tooling-related production issues
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal machinists for tool builds and modifications
  • Maintain tooling documentation and revision control in accordance with company standards Additional Information Help for Additional Information. Qualifications of the Tool Designer
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in any of the following: Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Design, Tool & Die Technology, and/or Precision Machining
  • Experience designing progressive, compound, and transfer dies for stamping applications
  • Skilled in SolidWorks (preferred), AutoCAD, or similar platforms
  • Understanding of press operations, die setup, and forming processes
  • Proficient with micrometers, calipers, and CMMs for validating tooling dimensions
  • Exposure to CNC machining, wire EDM, and hands-on tool fabrication
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies
  • Excellent communication and project management skills This Tool Designer position works Monday through Friday from 7:00am-3:30pm.
