Job Description
. Step into a hands-on metal stamping environment where precision tooling directly impacts quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement. This Tool Designer
- Metal Stamping opportunity in Lebanon, NH puts you onsite in an advanced manufacturing setting, designing and optimizing tooling that supports high-volume production. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Tool Designer
- Metal Stamping position include:
- 10+ years of direct tool-design experience in metal stamping
- SolidWorks experience required
- Design and develop progressive, compound, and transfer dies, including strong strip-layout and material-flow knowledge
- Create detailed SolidWorks CAD models, tooling designs, and manufacturing drawings with precise tolerances and optimized strip layouts
- Troubleshoot die performance, support die tryouts, and implement engineering changes
- Reduce scrap by debugging issues and improving tool performance, reliability, and longevity
- Apply GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, and precision measurement principles to meet tight tolerances in high-volume production
- Manage documentation, including design revisions, tool records, and process specifications
- Coordinate closely with toolmakers, production teams, the CNC department, and external tool shops as needed
Salary:
$80,000
- $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
