Job Overview:

The Therapeutic Technician will work with adult consumers residing in a 15 bed community based residence who are diagnosed with a Severe and Persistent Mental Illness. The candidate will support consumers in their wellness and recovery towards independent living.

Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor's Degree in Mental Health field or High School Certificate with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a helping profession, Valid NJ Driver's License required with no restrictions,

Preferred:

CPR/First/AED preferred - will be provided if certificate is not active, Bilingual skills appreciated

Scheduling Requirements:

Flex Schedule Coverage for days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays

Essential Functions:

Support provided includes medication supervision, skill building, community integration, identifying a crisis, and applying appropriate interventions -in-depth training provided on site. Therapeutic technician will support other team members in providing a clean and therapeutic environment. The mission of the department is to assist consumers in their recovery and keep them stable in the community and aid in the transition to a less supervised level of housing supervision.
