Job Description
This hands-on Tool & Die role requires experience with manual mills, precision grinders, and manual lathes. CNC lathe, mill, or grinding experience is a plus. Key Responsibilities Build, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain precision tooling for high-volume metal stamping and forming operations. Build new cutting and forming tools from engineering drawings. Assemble, fit, and adjust tooling to achieve production requirements and tight tolerances. Diagnose tooling issues and implement permanent corrective actions. Manufacture tooling components using manual mills, lathes, surface grinders, and CNC equipment as needed. Support production through tooling improvements and preventative maintenance. Build and maintain tooling for Bihler multi-slide and fourslide production systems. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of Tool & Die experience in a metal stamping or precision tooling environment. Experience building, repairing, and troubleshooting production tooling. Strong manual machining skills, including milling, turning, grinding, fitting, and polishing. Experience operating CNC equipment to manufacture tooling components is a plus. Ability to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances. Strong mechanical aptitude, craftsmanship, and problem-solving skills. High school diploma or GED required; apprenticeship or trade school training is a plus.
