Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker to support our aerospace fastener forging department. This position is responsible for manufacturing, repairing, and maintaining forging punches, carbide dies, steel dies, inserts, fixtures, and related tooling . The ideal candidate has strong traditional toolmaking skills along with CNC machining experience . The position requires the use of both CNC and manual equipment, with strong CNC programming, setup, and CAD/CAM skills being highly valued. Responsibilities Manufacture and repair forging punches, dies, inserts, and related tooling Repair and rework carbide forging dies Troubleshoot worn, damaged, or failed tooling Program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes Operate manual mills, lathes, surface grinders, and other toolroom equipment Perform precision grinding, fitting, polishing, and finishing Work from engineering drawings, CAD models, samples, and existing tooling Reverse engineer existing tooling when necessary Inspect tooling using standard precision measuring equipment Work closely with the forging department to resolve tooling issues and minimize downtime Assist with tooling improvements to increase tool life, quality, and productivity Qualifications Tool & Die Maker, Toolmaker, CNC Toolmaker, or similar machining experience Strong machining and mechanical problem-solving skills Experience with CNC setup and operation CNC programming and CAD/CAM experience strongly preferred Experience with manual machining and surface grinding Experience machining tool steels and hardened materials Experience repairing or manufacturing carbide dies/tooling strongly preferred Experience with forging, heading, or similar production tooling strongly preferred Ability to read engineering drawings and work to close tolerances Proficient with precision measuring equipment EDM experience is a plus Aerospace or AS9100 manufacturing experience is a plus

Pay:

$28.00 - $34.00 per hour
