Tool Room Manager

Company Overview Jet Machine & Manufacturing, a Wulco company, is a Cincinnati-based precision manufacturing organization committed to quality, safety, reliable execution, and continuous improvement. We are seeking an organized, hands-on Tool Room Manager to keep the tool room accurate, efficient, and ready to support production. Position Summary The Tool Room Manager leads day-to-day tool room operations. This position is responsible for tool inventory, storage, issuance, maintenance, calibration, repair coordination, purchasing support, employee supervision, 5S, safety, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will work closely with Production and Maintenance to make sure the correct tools and equipment are available when needed and meet applicable specifications. Key Responsibilities Direct daily tool room operations, including inventory control, storage, distribution, and accountability. Ensure tools and equipment are maintained, calibrated, properly stored, and ready for production use. Track inventory levels, maintain reorder points, replenish stock, and keep accurate electronic records. Conduct routine inventory audits, research discrepancies, and improve inventory accuracy. Coordinate with Production and Maintenance to confirm tooling needs, specifications, and timing. Coordinate repairs, modifications, and purchases with outside vendors and monitor open service or purchase needs. Maintain effective systems for tool identification, storage, checkout, retrieval, and access. Supervise tool room employees, assign priorities, provide training, and reinforce performance and safety expectations. Implement and sustain 5S standards and safe practices for tool handling, storage, and use. Identify and implement practical improvements that increase tool availability, organization, and efficiency. Qualifications Experience managing or supporting a tool room, tool crib, or similar function in a manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of tool maintenance, calibration control, inventory management, and organized storage practices. Experience using inventory management software or similar electronic tracking systems. Ability to lead employees, set priorities, coordinate with multiple departments, and respond to production needs. Strong organization, communication, teamwork, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, including moving tools and materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience coordinating tool repairs, modifications, or procurement with suppliers. Pay:
$20.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
