Job Description
W e are looking for someone repair and adjust fixtures on machining equipment in the Lorain, OH area! 12 hour shifts! Weekly Pay! Duties Diagnose and troubleshoot fixture issues using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and dial indicators. Disassemble, repair, and reassemble fixtures with manual tools, power tools, grinders, and other machining equipment to restore optimal functionality. Perform fixture modifications and adjustments utilizing CNC programming (including M-code and G-code), CAM software, SolidWorks, CAD drawings, and blueprint reading to ensure precise fit and function. Set up fixtures on CNC lathe and milling machines, ensuring proper alignment according to mechanical blueprints and GD&T specifications. Conduct quality inspections of fixtures using measurement instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances meet manufacturing standards. Maintain detailed records of fixture repairs, modifications, and calibration activities for traceability and continuous improvement. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize fixture design for efficiency and durability in high-volume production environments. Requirements Proven experience in CNC machining, manual machining, or fixture repair within a manufacturing setting. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T symbols.. Ability to read blueprints accurately and perform precision measurement for quality control purposes. Basic math skills for calculations related to measurements and machine setup adjustments. Knowledge of CNC machine setup procedures on CNC lathe and milling machines. Strong problem-solving skills with an eye for detail to ensure fixture integrity and performance. Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
