North River Boats Position:
Canvas Installer North River Boats will be accepting applications for the position of Canvas Installer. Work hours:
6:00 a.m.
  • 4:30 p.m. Monday
  • Thursday Friday
  • Overtime as needed to meet production goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
 Install completed tops on boats  Bend bows for tops as instructed  Prepare boats for fitting of tops.  Fit and install stern covers, tonneau covers, mooring covers, and backdrop curtains  Fit tops to welded removable top frames  Pattern tops and install  Identify different boat models  Properly operate all equipment relating to the canvas area  Maintain a safe and clean work environment  Must use proper safety equipment for every specific task  Maintain a high level of quality  Work to maintain a productive and positive work environment by proactively communicating with your lead and other leads/supervisors in the canvas department  Perform all other duties as assigned and appropriate to position
REQUIREMENTS
 Must have a good working knowledge of North River manufacturing process  Must have good working knowledge of the different models of boat tops and the components of each as well as how they are assembled  Must be familiar with the workings of all electric, pneumatic, and hand tools  Must have all required hand tools per tool list  Must be able to communicate with all levels of personnel  Must come to work with a good attitude and be a team player  Must maintain an above average attendance record
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB
 Lift up to 50 lbs  Stand, walk, kneel, crawl and crouch inside tight boat spaces throughout a 10-hour day North River Boats is an EEO and Drug Free employer NCRC preferred but not required (this can be obtained at the Employment Department) This contractor and subcontractor shall abide by the requirements of 41 CFR §§ 60-1.4(a), 60-300.5(a) and 60-741.5(a).
