Job Description Location:

Direct Report:

Tooling Supervisors Purpose:

Perform precision grinding operations to achieve tight tolerances, surface finishes, and dimensional accuracy on mold components. Responsibilities (including, but not limited to): Set up and operate surface, cylindrical, and/or jig grinders Interpret blueprints and work instructions Maintain tight tolerances and surface finish requirements Inspect parts using precision measuring tools Maintain equipment and ensure safe operation Authorities (including, but not limited to): Stop production for quality or safety concerns Adjust machine offsets and setups within specifications Recommend process improvements Primary Duties (including, but not limited to): Grind components to required tolerances Perform wheel dressing and machine setup Inspect parts using micrometers, indicators, and comparators Document inspection results Maintain clean and organized work area

Qualifications/Education Required:

High school diploma or equivalent 2+ years grinding experience or equivalent training

Preferred Skills/Experience:

Experience with tight-tolerance work Knowledge of mold components Possession of a valid Journeymen's license
