Toolroom Machinist /
Tool & Die Maker Location:
King of Prussia, PA Shift:
1st Shift, approximately 7:00 AM-3:00 PM A well-established precision manufacturing company in King of Prussia is looking for a hands-on Toolroom Machinist / Tool & Die Maker to join its manufacturing team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a true toolroom environment and machining custom parts rather than running the same production job every day. The role will support manufacturing and engineering by building and maintaining custom tooling, fixtures, replacement parts, and components used throughout production. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and manufacturing prints Machine custom tooling, fixtures, replacement parts, and production components Set up and operate both manual and CNC machining equipment Work with Bridgeport mills, manual lathes, Haas CNC mills, wire EDM, sinker EDM, grinders, saws, and related toolroom equipment Measure completed parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools Maintain and replenish inventories of tooling and spare machine parts Support Manufacturing Engineering with new fixtures, tooling, and custom components Work directly with Production when replacement parts or tooling are needed Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues and recommend practical improvements Make basic CNC program edits and adjustments as needed Maintain a clean, safe, and organized toolroom Qualifications Previous experience in machining, tool & die, toolroom, prototype machining, or a similar precision manufacturing environment Strong understanding of machining fundamentals, metals, speeds, feeds, and cutting tools Ability to read and work from blueprints and manufacturing drawings Experience setting up and operating manual and/or CNC equipment Experience with Bridgeport mills, lathes, CNC mills, or EDM equipment is highly desirable CNC setup or basic programming experience is a plus Swiss CNC experience is a plus but not required Comfortable working to tight tolerances and using precision measuring equipment Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Willingness to learn new equipment and work collaboratively with

$35.00 - $40.00 per hour
