Description We are seeking a Toolmaker / Manual Machinist who takes pride in producing high-quality precision work. The ideal candidate is mechanically minded, detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable working with a variety of machining processes and equipment. Hands-on experience operating manual machining equipment, including lathes, mills, and grinders. Experience as a toolmaker, die maker, or lathe operator is highly valued. Duties and Responsibilities
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and customer specifications.
Set up and operate a variety of machining and precision grinding equipment, including:
OD and ID grinders
Manual and automatic surface grinders
CNC mills
Haas lathes
EDM Ram Sinker
EDM Wire
Machine, grind, and finish precision components to required specifications and tolerances.
Perform quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process.
Make necessary machine or process adjustments to maintain product quality.
Meet production schedules and stringent deadlines.
Accurately record production times and job information.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards.
Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Requirements and Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Completion of a machining apprenticeship or journeyman program is helpful but not required.
Previous tool and die making experience is a plus.
Experience operating manual lathes, mills, grinders, or similar precision machining equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to meet production deadlines and maintain accurate records.
CAD software experience is helpful but not required.
