About the Role As a Precision Tooling Specialist, you will serve as a cornerstone of our manufacturing operations by fabricating high-quality components and maintaining the integrity of our production tooling. You will leverage your expertise in mechanical systems, precision measurement, and machining to drive efficiency, support custom equipment builds, and ensure our production lines operate at peak performance. Responsibilities Interpret complex blueprints and layouts to plan and execute precise machining sequences. Operate manual and CNC equipment, including lathes, milling machines, and grinders, to produce custom fixtures and parts. Perform welding, grinding, and repair of dies to minimize production downtime. Select optimal feed rates, cutting speeds, and tooling to maximize component quality. Collaborate with production teams to design and improve tooling for new and existing product lines. Maintain the tool room inventory and perform routine preventive maintenance on machining centers. Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and cranes, to support shop floor logistics. Qualifications Required Skills Associate degree in a technical field or 2-4 years of equivalent professional machining experience. Demonstrated proficiency with lathe and milling operations. Strong background in welding and metal fabrication techniques. Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and engineering diagrams. Successful completion of a practical machining and tool-making assessment. Preferred Skills Advanced experience with CNC programming and machine troubleshooting. Strong mathematical aptitude for calculating proportions, volume, and geometry. Proven ability to reverse engineer broken components for rapid repair. Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
