Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and dependable shop assistant to join our aircraft avionics maintenance team. In this role, you will support avionics technicians in the installation and repair of General Aviation aircraft electrical systems. Your enthusiasm and attention to safety will contribute to a smooth workflow and high-quality output. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a rapidly growing aircraft avionics field while developing valuable technical skills. With on the job training and a candidate's willingness to learn, the expectation is for a shop assistant to eventually transition to an avionics installation position within the company. Responsibilities Assist with the assembly of components using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment. Interpret technical drawings, production documents, and work instructions to support maintenance processes. Perform manual handling tasks such as putting away inventory and tooling. Maintain a clean and organized workspace. Perform general facility maintenance as directed by lead shop personnel. Skills Mechanical or electrical background is helpful for advancement opportunities. Willingness and drive to learn new skills. Knowledge of measuring instruments, technical drawings, and production documentation. Mechanical knowledge combined with experience using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical assembly techniques. Ability to interpret technical drawings and follow safety protocols rigorously. Excellent safety standards adherence. Technical proficiency in interpreting technical instructions and following lead personnel guidance.
Pay:
$15.00 - $25.00 per hour
