Job Description

Restless Machines is a CNC spindle and turret repair shop in Greenville, SC. Manufacturers across the country ship us their spindles, turrets, and actuators, and we rebuild them to OEM specifications. No field service, no travel. You work in our shop Monday through Friday and go home every night. We're a small team building something for the long haul, and we're looking for someone who wants to grow with us, not just a next job. This role owns the first stage of every repair: taking spindles and turrets apart carefully, documenting what we find, and getting components ready for inspection by our senior technicians. What you'll do: Disassemble CNC spindles, turrets, and actuators following a set sequence Photograph and document each step on an iPad using our report template Clean, label, and organize components so nothing gets mixed up or lost Flag visible damage, wear, or anything that looks off Keep your bench and tools clean and organized What we're looking for: Extremely detail-oriented. You notice small things others miss, and you care about getting them right. Able to stay focused on careful, repetitive work for hours without cutting corners Patient. Taking something apart the right way matters more than taking it apart fast. Able to follow multi-step procedures consistently, every time Comfortable with hand tools, pullers, and presses, and you know when to stop forcing something Comfortable using an iPad (taking photos, filling out a form) Looking for a long-term place to build a career, not a short-term gig Background in automotive, aviation, machine shop, or industrial maintenance is a plus, but not required. We'll train the right person. Military mechanics, aviation maintenance, and armament backgrounds strongly encouraged.
Why work here:
