The Fold/Glue Operator is responsible for the set-up and operation of the Kluge Folder/Gluer. Performs preventative and routine maintenance on all essential equipment. Assists operators in the training of new personnel as directed. Feed folder/gluer while operating equipment. Makes required quality assurance pulls and corrects defects as needed. Establishes case pack and count per job ticket or as otherwise directed. Files job corrugates and job tickets upon the completion of a job. Fills out all required job information entries on job jacket. Verifies job information on carton labels with job tickets. Labels and flags all finished loads appropriately per job ticket. Maintains a clean and safe workspace. Follows all safety and quality procedures. Reports all mechanical and safety issues to supervisor. Performs all duties as assigned.Duties/Responsibilities:
- Expedites projects and requests as directed by the Department Supervisor.
- Follows all safety and quality procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet quotas and deadlines.
- Must be able to lift 35 pounds at times, and push/pull 2,000 pounds with a pallet jack.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred.
- Must be available to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- At least two years of related experience required.
- General understanding of mechanics and tools required.
- Strong math skills.
Working Conditions:
- Work will be performed in our manufacturing warehouse which requires mobility within theproduction work area.
- Exposure to constant and intermittent sounds of machinery in a production environment.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
