Job Description

Leading, 25 year old, privately owned, Orthotic and Prosthetic Company based in Chattanooga desires to expand its team of Orthotists and Shoe specialists. Our Certified Othotist and Pedorthist is willing to train an individual that wants to help patients with their orthotic bracing and shoes. This opportunity can lead to becoming a Certified Pedorthist or a Certified Orthotic Assistant including courses paid by the company for the right individual. You must be willing to examine our patients , and fit them with the appropriate brace and or shoe and insert. This is a great opportunity for and individual desiring a rewarding career helping others. Individuals experienced in shoe fitting and/or hands on patient care are preferred, but not required. The pay is based on the experience of the individual that applies. We have a patient first mentality. Average employee has worked here for almost 10 years. No weekends, no overtime. We have 5 practitioners on staff. Wonderful support team. Professional atmosphere in every way.

This is an outdoorsman paradise with a vibrant music scene, 2 hours from Nashville, Atlanta, and the Smokey Mountains. Tennessee has no state income taxes, low property taxes and a low cost of living. Responsibilities Assist in orthotic and therapeutic footwear fabrication, fitting, and adjustments under supervision. Conduct direct patient care and patient service, ensuring comfort, safety, and proper footwear fit. Document intake and treatment details; collaborate with clinicians on device selection and modifications. Adhere to safety protocols, lead by example in infection control and equipment handling. Qualifications Basic life support certification and patient care experience Knowledge of orthotics, DME, prosthetics, and rehabilitation device handling Strong patient service and clinical support skills; ability to maintain clean, organized workspaces Experience assisting with intake and treatment area preparation; healthcare infection prevention compliance Physiological knowledge relevant to orthotic fitting and shoe fitting; comfortable working in a clinical environment
Pay:
$15.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 24.0 - 40.0 per week
