Job Summary We are seeking skilled and reliable Tool & Die Makers for a premier client in Gray, TN. In this role, you will be responsible for building, repairing, and maintaining complex dies, fixtures, tools, and gauges to support our manufacturing operations. Gray, TN Pay Rate:
$23.34 / hour (starting rate, higher depending on experience )
Shift:
1st Shift | Monday - Friday | 6:00 AM - 2:30
PM Job Type:
Full-time Key Responsibilities Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production dies, tooling, and fixtures to ensure minimal downtime. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering schematics, and technical drawings. Operate standard machine shop equipment (lathes, mills, grinders, drill presses, etc.) with high precision. Perform preventative maintenance on tooling to optimize production efficiency and product quality. Perform quality checks on finished tools and parts using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators). Collaborate with production and engineering teams to continuous improve tooling processes.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
Proven experience as a Tool & Die Maker, Machinist, or in a similar industrial role (pay starts at $23.34/hr and scales up with experience).
Technical Skills:
Strong ability to read blueprints and technical schematics; proficient in using precision measurement tools.
Equipment Knowledge:
Hands-on experience operating manual machine shop equipment.
Problem-Solving:
Excellent mechanical troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Reliability:
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an apprenticeship or technical degree in Tool & Die / Machining is preferred.
Pay:
From $23.34 per hour
