GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
Provide support to production teams with molds, dies, and jigs that produce quality parts and help lead Tool Room.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, improve, and repair molds and dies as needed to support production. Troubleshoot mold and die problems and implement solutions. Use gages, micrometers, calipers to ensure specifications are met. Follow verbal and written work instructions to ensure all work is performed according to specifications. Use visual inspections, quality instructions (and quality instruments as needed) to ensure quality parts are produced. Document all work properly. Cross-train on other positions as needed. Follow all safety and environmental guidelines. Assist in retrieving and moving dies and molds, requiring lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 75 lbs. Work overtime as needed.

EXPERIENCE
HS Diploma or GED Machinist I Diploma or equivalent (able to set up and run mill, lathe, grinder, drill press, CNC setup and operate, etc.) AND completion of the State of Tennessee Journeyman apprenticeship program. Newell Brands (
