The Tooling Technician will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, and improving injection molding tools to support productivity, quality, and safety. The ideal candidate will have strong mold-making and tool repair experience, along with knowledge of CNC, EDM, milling, tooling prints, and hydraulic/electrical diagrams. Key Responsibilities Maintain injection molding tools in optimal operating condition. Perform preventive maintenance on molds and tooling. Perform minor engineering changes to tools and molds. Troubleshoot and repair injection molding tools. Assist supervisors with training associates on proper tool care and usage. Maintain appropriate inventory levels of replacement parts for tooling. Follow all internal tooling procedures and standards. Support Process Engineers, Plant Engineers, and Technical Center teams with process improvement changes. Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities. Maintain accurate and timely records of tool repairs, modifications, and changes. Participate in team problem-solving activities, including 8D activities and communication meetings. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe tooling work area. Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures. Perform other tooling-related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Hands-on plastic injection molding tooling experience - MUST HAVE. Experience repairing and maintaining injection molds. Ability to read and interpret tooling prints, hydraulic circuit prints, and electrical diagrams . Technical training and/or hands-on experience with: CNC EDM Milling machines Experience operating various machine shop equipment. Ability to safely operate an overhead crane. Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to perform mold maintenance and repair independently. Ability to maintain accurate tooling repair records. Must have a personal toolbox and appropriate mold-making/tool repair tools.
