Stock Builder Job Summary The Stock Builder assembles and finishes high-end custom firearm stocks for the Horizon Firearms and iOTA brands. This hands-on role combines mechanical aptitude, craftsmanship, artistic appreciation, and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork. Stock Builder Responsibilities Complete gunsmithing projects and firearm-related repairs. Assemble and paint custom stocks with precision and consistency. Perform scheduled maintenance on machinery and shop equipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop. Assemble small firearm components as part of final product builds. Follow detailed production procedures for hands-on stock building. Travel up to 10% as required. All other duties as assigned by management. Stock Builder Skills and Competencies Strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, and precision. Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and ability to follow detailed instructions. Initiative, positive attitude, and a team-oriented mindset. Commitment to firearm and shop safety. Stock Builder Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Firearms safety knowledge and industry experience preferred. Understanding of custom stock design and function. Ability to follow shop safety standards. Willingness to sign non-compete and non-disclosure agreements. Clean 5-year driving record. Work Environment Work is performed indoors and outdoors in varying conditions, with exposure to loud noise, equipment fumes, and airborne particles. Required PPE must be worn. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, or sit for up to 10 hours per day. Frequent use of hands and feet; occasional climbing, reaching, stooping, bending, and kneeling.
