JOB DETAILS STARTING PAY
$25.00 per hour

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Tool and Die machinist repairs, and maintains small dies, fixtures, and all other tooling in conformance to customer and/or company specifications per control plans. Analyzes specifications, lays out metal stock, set up and operate machine tools, and fits and assembles parts to makes and repairs dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and machinists' hand tools. Maintains a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with procedures and safety regulations. The Tool and Die machinist will report to the Maintenance Manager. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience as a machinist working with small stamping dies, machining tools and equipment components. Extensive experience with metal working tools including drills, milling machines, grinders and lathes Preferred knowledge of troubleshooting in die operation and die Assembly Experience in welding is a plus Preferred metallurgic knowledge understanding the properties of metals Knowledge of and experience with Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures Able to strictly adhere to safety policies/procedures and be committed to customer quality. Must be available for regular standby assignments; work scheduled off-hours and emergency overtime as required. Able to work with little supervision Solid knowledge of trigonometry and shop math Proficient in Word and Excel Must be willing to attend training sessions as needed, including out of state locations Possess strong work ethic and knowledge of intermediate troubleshooting Able to read printed materials, blueprints, schematics, and computer graphics Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and within a team, including the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships employees, vendors, contractors, and suppliers Ability to show attention to detail in a very fast paced environment
