Tool & Die Maker Pay Range:
$35 - $40 hourly

TOOL AND DIE MAKER
Experienced and skilled in building, troubleshooting, repairing and preventive maintenance of Tooling and Dies. Experienced and skilled in understanding layouts, drawings, sketches and performing machining of components using drill press, milling machine, lathe, surface grinder, saw, and other machines. Use of measuring equipment. Examine defective parts to determine cause of defect and repair.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
Familiar with metal stamping dies, fixtures, etc. Experience with tool steels and their applications. Experience with commonly stamped metals such as cold-rolled steel, hot-rolled steel galvanized steel, stainless steel, etc . Participate actively in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.
RESPONDSIBILITIES
Interpret and work from schematics and technical drawings to fabricate tooling components. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure accuracy. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on dies and tooling to maintain optimal performance. Collaborate with engineering teams to improve manufacturing processes and product quality.
