Tooling Technician

Job Description

About the Role As a Tooling Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining the precision and efficiency of our manufacturing operations. You will utilize your expertise in metal forming and machining to ensure our tooling systems remain in peak condition, directly impacting the quality and consistency of our production output. Responsibilities Diagnose and execute repairs on dies, punches, and fixtures by performing precise inspections and measurements. Operate essential machine shop equipment, including milling machines, lathes, drill presses, and grinders, to support production needs. Design and fabricate custom tools and fixtures to facilitate the development of new product lines. Execute complex maintenance tasks on draw dies to ensure optimal performance during high-volume runs. Proactively troubleshoot tooling issues to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability. Uphold rigorous safety standards and OSHA compliance to maintain a secure and efficient work environment. Qualifications Required Skills High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent professional experience. Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a machinist or tool and die capacity. Proven expertise in draw die maintenance and metal stamping processes. Strong proficiency in interpreting complex engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals. Ability to perform accurate shop-floor mathematical computations. Preferred Skills Technical Diploma in Machining or a related field. Working knowledge of CNC programming and machine operation. Demonstrated ability to make independent procedural decisions in a fast-paced environment. Experience with progressive die systems and advanced troubleshooting techniques.
