About the Role The Tool Room Associate - Level 1 is an entry-level position for someone ready to learn the tool and die trade. The Tool Room makes, repairs, and maintains the tools, dies, fixtures, and other items production depends on, working from designs specified by Engineering. The Level 1 Associate interprets Engineering drawings, operates the basic tool room equipment and the manual mills and lathes, runs the CNC machines under supervision, and supports die assembly while training toward Level 2. Key Responsibilities Operate drill presses, bench grinders, saws, and the hydraulic press as trained Set up and operate the manual mills and lathes to produce parts to the provided specifications Operate the CNC mills and lathes under the supervision of a Level 2 or Level 3 Associate, running proven programs Assist at the die assembly table: disassemble, clean, and reassemble dies and fixtures under direction Interpret Engineering drawings and produce parts to the specifications outlined Inspect your own work using standard tool room measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gages) Clock into work orders and enter work-related data in DMS, and log maintenance issues Keep the tool room, machines, and tooling storage clean and organized, and support the DeWalch Quality Policy and

2015 quality requirements Qualifications Machining experience or vocational machining training is preferred or continuing education Working knowledge of SolidWorks and Mastercam is required Able to interpret drawings and produce parts to the provided specifications Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn the tool and die trade Basic machining math and the ability to learn precision measuring instruments Able to follow instructions, drawings, and written procedures High school diploma or GED preferred;

2015 experience a plus Physical Requirements & PPE Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; hoists and lifting aids are used for heavier dies and tooling Work is performed in a climate-controlled, air-conditioned tool room Ability to sit, stand, bend, and walk for extended periods (8-10 hours per day)
