Job Overview United Machine Works in New Waverly, TX needs a Night Tool Crib Attendant to manage precision cutting tools, inserts, gauges, and equipment for our night shift manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities Tool Issuance & Tracking:
Issue cutting tools, inserts, fixtures, gauges, and hand tools to CNC machinists using inventory management software.
Inventory Control:
Monitor stock levels, perform routine cycle counts, and reorder standard tooling supplies to prevent machine downtime.
Maintenance & Inspection:
Inspect returned tools for wear or damage, sort scrap, and coordinate sharpening, re-grinding, or replacement.
Organization:
Maintain a clean, orderly tool crib and storage area so components are easy to locate quickly.
Support Production:
Assist night-shift machinists and operators with locating proper tooling for high precision-tolerance setups.
Requirements & Qualifications Experience:
1+ years of experience in a manufacturing, machine shop, or industrial tool crib environment.
Knowledge:
Familiarity with CNC tooling, cutting inserts, micrometers, calipers, and precision measuring equipment.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for the duration of the shift.
Work Authorization:
Valid US work authorization.
Safety:
Adherence to safety protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
