Job Description

Position Summary The Production Lead is a working lead with the ability to perform complex setups and skillfully operate CNC and manual mills and lathes-while maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; and maintaining equipment and supplies. Must possess technical knowledge such as drawing and spec interpretation. Responsible for placing requisitions for material and tools and planning/coordinating all tooling activities and priorities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The ideal candidate will be an experienced machinist with at least 3-years experience working at journey level Bridgeport and manual lathe machining experience required. Expertise in CNC or Profile Working familiarity with shop planning/tooling Experience/knowledge applicable to fixturing/tooling applications Position Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Certification from an accredited technical college a plus Minimum 3 years of progressive milling experience as journey level. Aerospace industry experience is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Required Skills Possess basic math and geometry knowledge with elementary knowledge of engineering principals helpful Ability to read blueprints, follow work order and verbal instructions Knowledgeable of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
